How long did it take.....
before you could say that your PS was totally worth it?!
I'm wondering about those who've had TT specifically. I've read about the recovery time, discomfort, drains, support garments, and swelling for 6-8 months! Yikes!
Would you still have it done knowing everything that you know now?
I am currently a size 14/16 and 177lbs. After TT, I'd like to fit comfortably in a size 12. Is this realistic? I've seen some folks post that they did NOT change sizes at all after TT - does this happen often?
I know that's a lot of questions. LOL! Thanks for taking the time to read this far.

From the moment I woke up I thought it was worth it, best 4k I ever spent. I would definately do it again, imagine perfectly firm tight abs and never once did a sit up. At 45 I have a flat stomach, I still look at it in awe. I had about 6lbs removed, I don't recall changing sizes that much, but I can wear a size 4 skirt because my waist is small, jeans are a 6.
Good Luck

I was 175 and a size 12/14 before my maxi tt may 27th
I am a bit swollen still, but because I have hips, I will pretty much stay in the 12 or possibly a 10 when it is all said and done.
I most def would do it again in a heartbeat. I love not seeing that huge panni and fupa! Hurt? yes maam, but woth every second!

Most definitely worth it. I don't think you'll find many that have regrets. Only your dr can give an idea how much you might lose with your TT. A lot depends on your build, amount of skin, fat, etc. Some don't loose any sizes and other can lose up to 6 sizes. It just depends. Even if you don't lose any sizes your clothes will look so much better. I have never regretted any of my PS for one second! It was worth every pain, discomfort and swelling. The positives definitely outweighed any of the negatives in my book. Best thing I've ever done for myself!

You know how sometimes in life you read what you need to hear, these messages were what I needed to read today. I had my lower body lift a week ago and walking around with four drains that sometimes leak and feeling somewhat discouraged. I am in minimum pain and thankful for that. I am surrounded by a helpful family and I need to be more appreciative. I am also thankful that I no longer have the panni, I hated looking at that , a daily reminder of years of body loathing. The past couple of days have been "woe is me" days. Thank you for the question, thank you for the responses. Thank you for the insight.

I liked my ps before the surgery; I liked the way he talked to me, his personality and how supportive his office staff was/is. I sort of knew when I woke up that I loved him and his talent, but I was absolutely positive that I loved my ps when he came in the next day to see me at 7 AM and took all the dressings off. I am more than thrilled with his work so far. I have my second round of procedures next Friday but when I woke up from the first one, he could have taken me right back into the OR then and i wouldn't have complained.
As for the pain, discomfort and drains - it's major surgery - there's going to be pain and discomfort. Drains, well that's a medical necessity for healing. Swelling? That too is part of most surgeries.
So absolutely I would make the same decisions again.
As for whill you fit into 12s, that's hard to say. I have a pair of Levi's 515 in size 8 that fit me before surgery. I tried them on last week and they would zip but not button. I think a lot of that has to do with a little swelling. I do know that clothes are fitting me much differently and better. What anyone can expect is totally up to the individual.

I had a TT with brachioplasty and breast reduction about 3 years ago, and I was very happy with the results right off the bat. It was hard to recover, especially for the first week. I had drains for a week, and swelling for a couple of months, then periodically for about 6 months after that. That's just the way it is, though!
I am one of those who did not go down any sizes after my TT because I carried most of my weight in my hips and thighs. I just had a thigh and butt lift 5 days ago, though, and have my fingers crossed this time!
